Bus Services

SSIPS is committed to ensuring the safety and convenience of its students. The institute provides excellent transportation facilities through a well-maintained fleet of buses for both students and staff. These buses offer reliable pick-up and drop-off services covering all major areas of the city. Additionally, bus facilities are available for students commuting from Bhilai. Commuter attendance is mandatory on all college buses to ensure safety and proper monitoring. Statistical evidence indicates that college buses are among the safest modes of transportation for students.

Central Library

The Central Library plays a vital role in supporting the academic and research needs of both students and staff members. It is well maintained and houses a rich collection of 23,709 books, 69 national journals, 35 international journals, and over 1,000 CDs, exceeding the prescribed norms. All library operations are fully computerized to ensure efficient access and management of resources.

The library actively promotes reading habits among students and provides all necessary academic assistance. Each student is entitled to issue up to three books at a time for a period of 14 days.

Seminar Halls

SSIPS’s seminar hall covers an area of 2,500 square feet and can comfortably accommodate up to 150 individuals. The hall is fully air-conditioned and is suitable for conferences, symposiums, meetings, seminars, concerts, presentations, and performances.

It is well equipped with modern audio-visual facilities, including a high-quality sound system, audio-visual presentation equipment, and video conferencing capabilities, ensuring an effective and engaging environment for academic and cultural events.

Central Computing Facility

The Central Computing Facility has been established with the objective of providing advanced and cutting-edge computing resources to equip students with the latest developments in computer technology, thereby offering them a strong platform to launch successful careers.

The Central Computing Laboratory, located in the Administrative Block, was inaugurated by His Excellency, Honorable Shri Shekhar Dutt, former Governor of Chhattisgarh. The facility is supported by a dedicated server for networking, e-campus applications, and Oracle database management. All workstations and servers are interconnected through a high-speed 1,000 Mbps LAN network. Additionally, a 24-hour internet facility with a bandwidth of 155 Mbps is available to students to support learning, research, and innovation.

Canteen

At SSIPS, the institute recognizes the close relationship between good food, good health, and a quality life. With this understanding, the management provides excellent mess facilities for students within the campus. The college mess has a seating capacity of approximately 150 students at a time and serves pure vegetarian, nutritious, hygienic, and homely meals.

The mess caters to the need of all streams of Academy and hostellers with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Institute provides conducive and healthy atmosphere in the mess and makes sure that quality food is served at reasonable price even to the day scholars. Canteens are more than simple hang out which add different avours to our life.

In addition, the canteen at SSIPS serves as more than just a refreshment space. It is an open and vibrant area that encourages group discussions, informal interactions, and relaxation. The canteen offers a variety of snacks and beverages such as cutlets, samosas, chips, tea, coffee, and soft drinks, creating a lively ambience where students enjoy spending their leisure time with friends.

Hostel

A comfortable and secure living environment is essential for academic success. At SSIPS, every effort is made to ensure that students experience a pleasant and supportive stay, enabling them to focus entirely on their studies. The institute provides quality on-campus accommodation for students, with facilities to accommodate approximately 200 boys and 80 girls.

Separate hostels for boys and girls are located within the college campus and are well secured with round-the-clock (24×7) security to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
